Actor Rejects Anti-Vax Position After Narrating Controversial Pandemic Feature

The "Taken" star has provided his vocal talents to a feature-length documentary that casts doubt on the safety of immunizations and praises one-time health official Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Film's Contentious Origins

Named "Plague of Corruption," the film is based on a bestselling book co-authored by a controversial scientist, who gained notoriety during the health crisis for assertions that the illness was a result of a problematic version of the seasonal immunization.

Her co-author, the executive producer, has also written books with far-right radio host the Infowars host. Heckenlively wrote online hailing Neeson's role in the film.

An Unequivocal Rebuttal

Representatives for Neeson have released a response strongly denying claims that he subscribes to anti-vaccine beliefs.

"We all understand that misconduct can exist within the medical sector, but that should never be conflated with being against vaccines," the comment states. "He never has been, and cannot be described as, anti-vax. His considerable work with Unicef reinforces his long-held support for global immunisation initiatives."

It noted that the performer was not involved in crafting the project's messaging and that questions about its assertions should be directed to the producers.

Major Themes Featured in the Film

According to the documentary, the voiceover spoken by Neeson makes several controversial claims:

  • It states that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "unconditional submission" to public institutions.
  • It argues that "science has become highly politicised."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured stating, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they just aren't adequately tested."
  • The narration also criticizes pandemic restrictions, saying they caused psychological harm that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of pandemic shots, it mentions a view that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "risky trials."

Past Background and Current Debates

The film also references a past television report about AIDS medication trials on children, which was subsequently the focus of a correction by the corporation for violations of guidelines.

Last month, RFK Jr directed the CDC to alter its official position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism. This claim is also referenced in the film, contrary to a new report from the World Health Organisation reiterating no connection has been found.

A Previous Position of Endorsement

Contrasting the documentary's message, Neeson has previously voiced clear advocacy for vaccines in his position as a charity ambassador.

Previously, he called vaccines as "an incredible achievement," adding that "The conversation about vaccines in recent years has forgotten how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in human history."

"Plague of Corruption" concludes with Neeson's voice saying, "This is not the conclusion of our journey. It is the start of a new chapter."
