In a unexpected partnership that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Uncovered
According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of banned practices and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret sect.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an special katana in addition to numerous items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
