Beloved Performer Pat Finn, Recognized For Parts in The Middle and Friends, Passes Away at the Age of Sixty.
US actor Pat Finn, who appeared in beloved programs such as Friends, Seinfeld and "The Middle", has died at 60 years old.
The skilled improv artist passed away at his residence in Los Angeles on Monday having undergone cancer treatment since 2022, according to reports.
"He never met a stranger - just potential friends he had yet to meet," his relatives said in a announcement.
They continued that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with joy and exuberance".
A Prolific TV Career
His initial on-screen part was on a show starring George Wendt in 1995, where he played the titular character's brother.
He was also seen in a regular part on "Murphy Brown" between 1995 and 1997.
He starred as the character Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, depicting a social organizer famous for delegating unpleasant chores to his guests.
In the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous popular shows, including:
- "King of Queens"
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- House, M.D.
His most famous role for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in The Middle, featuring across eight seasons between 2011 and 2018.
His film credits encompass "It's Complicated" and "Santa Paws 2".
Off-Screen Life
Outside of his television work, Finn was a skilled improviser and worked as a teacher at the Colorado university, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was a member of a comedy group of six known as "Beer Shark Mice".
"Finn coached, befriended and mentored countless students over the years and it would be difficult to find someone anywhere who has anything negative to say about him," his family wrote.
Paying homage, colleague and actor actor Richard Kind remarked there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, authentic human being you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, helping you be funnier and better. A great dad, a great guy," he posted on social media.
Finn is remembered by his partner Donna, his three kids, and his family.
