Devoted supporters of Ariana Grande are demanding that a man who leaped a barricade and touched the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared clip shows the Australian man pushing past media personnel and charging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a promenade accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the event by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being arrested", though legal records revealed that he was set to attend court on the next day. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

History of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a performance. His Instagram feed features clips of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney performance in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last year.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user remarked.

Followers Express Concern Over Grande's Past Trauma

Many fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the finale of her May 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said a further response on Instagram.

A number of supporters also faulted security officers at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals demanded social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed shocked when she was touched by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.
