Declan Rice Deliveries from dead balls and free-kicks were dangerous. Had room to move down the left flank but was in an offside position when the ball arrived with a chance to score. Awarded a merited rest after an hour. 6

Jude Bellingham Functioned in a forward role on the right and did plenty of the hard yards. Displayed flashes of quality but scuffed an attempt high. Replaced towards the end by Rogers, his rival, after being booked. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Had England’s best chance before halftime, his shot smartly stopped from Thomas Strakosha. As Quansah hanging back, he had to provide width out wide yet his deliveries from wide areas were inconsistent. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. 6

Harry Kane The difference-maker netting two more goals for his country. The opener a classic close-range tap-in and the second an excellent headed goal having drifted away off his defender. At 32, he’s only getting better and England have every chance in future competitions with him leading the line. Eight

Eberechi Eze Had difficulty to make an impact out wide. Was presented with a decent opportunity when set up by the midfielder however Strakosha made the save. Rashford produced a bigger effect when substituted. 5
