Soccer Analyst Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Premier League Predictions

Arsenal's ten-match winning run came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the international hiatus, but can the Premier League leaders recover against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."

The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus AI, fans and a range of guests.

For week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

Murs' latest album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not planning a serious return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his spouse his partner have two children, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their weekend soccer team," he said.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our side for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this game will be quite tight, however. Burnley are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their past two matches - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look strong again.

The Hammers' only on the road win this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's coach.

So, what on earth do I predict here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I will choose Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season began, but they have surprised a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their past four games.

My son told me to select Bees striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.

Thiago will likely find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.

They have not had great success on the road this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. Brentford will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's side carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many scores but it in reality proves to be rather close. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have lost five of their last six matches.

Fulham have have plenty of talent in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

As for Sunderland, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League season so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not witnessed anyone else rough up the North London side like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice would be to back the visitors here, because they are clearly able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the end of last month.

However I am not going to choose that. Instead, I really need to continue going against the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they evidently love to prove me wrong.

Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be absolutely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's choice: I know Sunderland are doing well and also that the hosts are on a bad streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at home this campaign. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but might they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
