The police and crime commissioner from the central England region has requested an urgent reexamination of the decision to ban the Israeli team's supporters from being present at the upcoming match.

The commissioner, who supervises the police department, states that this request aims to determine whether the prohibition is appropriate, essential, warranted, reasonable, and a balanced step to achieve a legitimate aim.

"That should involve consideration of all and any suitable, alternative options," the official adds.

The commissioner has also requested to examine the official ruling and recommendation from the safety committee, along with the law enforcement evaluation.

He stresses, however, that the ultimate ruling belongs to the committee and the authorities.
