Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident
Vince Zampella, the mind behind the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California aged 55.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.
The renowned industry figure passed away following his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in LA on Sunday, as reported by.
"This is an unimaginable loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
